God is good. Just want to get that out of the way. I recently read Genesis chapters 1 and 2 and am awed by God's immense power and authority, and yet He came down and talked to Adam, gave him all the plants to eat, let him name all of the animals in the world, then gave him the present of a wife! God is good. God is amazing! In this blog I will be sharing about the blessings God has given me.

The first blessing I would like to share is the blessing of my relationship with God. When I was five years old I was at a 5-Day Club (like vacation bible school) at a friend's house and one of the teachers told a Bible story and presented the gospel to us. I don't remember the Bible story, but I do remember realizing that I had sinned, that I needed a savior, and that Jesus was the only one who could be a savior. As is the case with many early childhood salvations, I didn't fully understand that I was now in a personal relationship with the God of the universe. It wasn't until I was about 14 that I really took my relationship seriously.

God has remained faithful to me even when I haven't been faithful to Him. He has encouraged me, He has provided for me, He has fulfilled me in more ways than could ever be done by any other person or thing I could find. My relationship with Him is a blessing in itself and has opened the floodgate for His many other blessings.
